Day one of the MSI BEAT IT Russia tournament has come to a stop, with eight teams still in the run to make it into the money.

The first day of the tournament, which takes place at the Kiev CyberSport Arena, saw the group stage conclude, as well as four relegation matches.

In Group A WinFakt claimed top spot, not losing a single match, which included a 16-10 win versus AGAiN on de_tuscan. This meant AGAiN had to play the relegation stage, following them into that was Rigid, who advanced in front of KerchNET. Group D saw home court favorites from Natus Vincere seal the first place in the group, USSR following in second and Anexis third.

The relegation matches saw AGAiN down H1ghtime 2-0, zNation 2-0 verus Rigid, USSR 2-0 over A-Gaming and final match of the day saw Moscow Five claim a 2-1 win against Danish team Anexis.

This leaves eight teams left in the competition, producing the following quarter-finals, all taking place at 10:00 Sunday.

The first semi-final will be played at 13:00 tomorrow, while the second is schedule for 16:00 . The third place decider, as well as the Grand Finals are scheduled for 19:00 .
